The deepest water port in the western part in the Baltic
Aabenraa Port is the deepest water port in the western part of the Baltic - close to the European motorway network.
It is a port of shipment and disembarkation for the entire Baltic area and may form part of attractive transport concepts in combination with land transport to and from the rest of Europe - for instance in cooperation with Padborg Tranport Center.
Aabenraa Port can offer all the facilities which hallmark an efficient industrial port and make it supreme as the basis for advantageous transport and logistics solutions in North Europe and the Baltic area.
Facts
Aabenraa port has an area of 315,000 m², which is let out to relevant companies on certain terms. The port consists of three basins:
Basin & depth:
Nyhavn 6.5 - 9.3 m
Gammelhavn 7.5 m
Sydhavn 4.0 m
and furthermore:
Sønderjyllandskajen (south of Sydhavn) 11.0 m
Ro-Ro Terminal (south of Sønderjyllanddskajen) 11.0 m
Tanker Jetty I (south of Nyhavn's eastside) 11.0 m
Tanker Jetty II (on Nyhavn's eastside) 7.0 m
Fairway
From the Aabenraa Fjord an app. 1000 m long and 11 m deep dredged channel leads to the port. The width is at no point less than 120 m between the 11 m curves
Largest ships to enter the port:
- Dry cargo: Max. length 250 m. No restrictions on beam.
- Tankers: Max. length 210 m. Max. 60.000 TDW. No restrictions on beam.
